RESIDENTIAL LOANS BY PRIVATE LENDERS IN OREGON

Did you know, lender, that you are supposed to use a professional licensed mortgage broker to broker your private loan - yes your loan - for a residential property (including flips) in Oregon (generally 1-4 occupants) unless you are lending directly to a GC?


That's the law!


I can help though - if you have an attorney represent your borrower in this type of transaction, AND the borrower pays the attorney - you don't have to have a licensed GC as a borrower AND you don't need a licensed mortgage professional involved.
